It’s mostly the left wing of the Labour Party which has traditionally been anti-EU, which to them is seen as a big-business-dominated corporatist stitch-up. Also on the right of the Party, particularly in the blue-collar trade unions, there has been a strong ‘little England’ mentality. Both of these, however, are now less strong than they were 15-20 years ago before the Blairite ‘third way’ revolution in the party.
