Since the Orlando nightclub shooting on Sunday, gun sales have rapidly increased throughout the United States.
Adventure Outdoors Owner Jay Wallace told Fox Business Networks Stuart Varney that sales of AR-15s and other firearms have really kicked up since Sunday.
AR-15s may look like military rifles but they are actually semi-automatic guns, which means they can only fire one round with each pull of the trigger. By contrast, military-style guns have the ability to fire multiple rounds with one pull of the trigger. The AR in AR-15 actually stands for ArmaLite rifle, named after the company that developed it and does not stand for assault rifle, according to the National Shooting Sports Foundation.
Wallace claimed that he has sold more than 15 AR-15s per hour and may know the reasons as to why there is such a rise in sales.

WHAT? OMG! Not only can they transport themselves wherever the want to commit acts of violence, now they have wings and can fly? Somebody better let the lyin' king know about this latest development so dhs can get a handle on flying AR's. Any bets on June busting all previous records for NICS? Will they have to put extra people on to handle the call volume? And the gopE and the dncE don't get it still. Must be those pesky right wing extremists at it again.

Better buy one quick, the feds will ban these semi-auto rifles, but likely grandfather pre-law guns. CA, IL, NY, NJ and a few others may ban them outright.

Everybody and his brother is now manufacturing AR variants, and the volume has driven down prices. The free market is at work to the benefit of all except tyrants and pirates.

Nah. They’d still have preferred a Christian, gun lovin’, bible totin’, “Confederate” flag wavin’, rusty pick up truck drivin’ perp to help further the “right wing extremist” meme. But they’ll take what they can get if it helps with their push for more infringements. Moose limbs are not the problem and if you can’t see that you must be stoopid or something. I raise my hand.

Six Years ago when I bought my AR-15, I had second thoughts, mostly because the cost and the fact that I don't use it all that much.
Now, all these years latter, those second thoughts are GONE, I couldn't be prouder.

I went to a gun shop yesterday to pick up a repair, while there this elderly couple most likely in their 60-70s, purchased a AR 15 type rifle, but it was about 7-800 dollars. I also noticed there were other seniors there looking at them. I don’t think the seniors will put up with much crap any more. They’ll be eating their early bird specials with their 15’s along side of them.

I see very base variants for sale for $500 fairly often. Usually without dust covers, forward assists, or any rail system. Like anything else, you spend more for better quality/options.

I picked up my gunstore’s last Ruger AR556 yesterday. They still had plenty of Colts, etc. And for good measure I also picked up a stripped lower. Just in case I ever want to build one myself.
