Donald Trump is viewed unfavorably by 7 in 10 Americans in a new national poll. Seventy percent of U.S. adults have an unfavorable view of the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, according to the ABC News/Washington Post poll released Wednesday, a 10-point increase since last month.
That's his highest unfavorable rating since the launch of his presidential campaign and is close to Trump's highest-ever unfavorable rating in the poll, 71 percent, from May 2015. Since then it's hovered closer to 60 percent and had fallen toward the end of the GOP primary season.
Hillary Clinton is also viewed unfavorably by a majority of Americans, 55 percent, a new high in the poll for her. Forty-three percent view her favorably.
Those numbers come shortly after Clinton won enough delegates to become the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee. Still, national polls asking voters whom they plan to support in November have shown Clinton pulling ahead.
Clinton has higher favorability among members of her party than Trump does among his in the ABC poll: 75 percent of Democrats view Clinton favorably, and 65 percent of Republicans view Trump favorably.
Independents, which both candidates are seeking to win over, are tepid on both: 68 percent hold unfavorable views of Trump, and 63 percent hold unfavorable views of Clinton.

Construction site you are probably right, resource extraction you are probably right but those in the corporate world are hard left if not more liberal then those in the private sector. Conservatism has declined as we have moved away from an industrial economy. Resource extraction is looked down upon. Hope your right. The only young conservatives I know havd not gone to college. Pray for Trump victory. I just can’t discount every poll.
And a Cruzer like yourself would be happy. Drop Dead
I agree with this, with one provision:
Trump should have let his attorneys file a motion for the judge to recuse himself, and then simply pointed to the motion without comment.
I'm not sure why they didn't do it immediately, although perhaps this case began BEFORE Trump started running for President. Does anyone know the complete timeline?
Most of it was, and I think for purposes of the poll it might have well been all before. Out of the 5 days of polling 4 were before the attack and 1 was the Sunday after the Saturday night attack. Although of course the story was brand new on Sunday and people were just figuring out what happened, and only the most hardened partisans were thinking of it politically at that point.
“The unforced error was in attacking the judge, period.”
Fvck the ‘judge’
I think most real Americans are at the point where they would cheer the deportation of anyone with a spanish or muzzie sir name.
We’ve had enough.
That includes your playgirl hero Count Copulot.
“At this point in time in 1980 and 1988, Carter and Dukakis were a lock for the White House.”
And both ate the big turd.
Hilly is going to lose.
A year ago, when Trump announced, Jeb was the prohibitive favorite.
He had the endorsements, a bulging warchest and a well-oiled campaign machine - and was atop all the polls.
Look where we are now.
You seem to respond very fondly to these polls?
There’s the convention, there are the debates and events in the future that will decide the election.
The Fat Lady hasn’t sung yet.
Unskew, unskew....do we want a repeat of that in 2016?
No. Look at recent election maps. It’s a right-wing country, with crazy-extreme left-wing, nutball centers (ie - large cities). The vast majority of the country leans right.
After the full frontal attack from the Press, the Democrats and the Republican elites, its amazing his negatives aren’t 90%.
The same margin from last month, so she got no bump from her coronation last week.
In fact, she lost 2%.
CBS News gave Mrs. Bill an advantage of six points on June 15. I hope Gary Johnson is not working to Mrs. Bill’s advantage.
I do wonder why Trump did not clearly explain why this judge is out to get him.
Unfortunately, the vote-rich liberal cities dominate states like CA, IL, PA, and NY.
Hillary can count on the urban vote.
And she has those states in her column long before the next five months come to a close.
If you believe any kind of poll in JUNE .. waste of time.
“The Compost has been eliminated from participating by Trump.
They can only throw mud from their pig sty and hope it sticks!”
And it won’t stick.
WaPo will lose millions, and I will dance a jig : )
Trump is getting only 73% of the GOP vote.
So, there is more room for him to grow.
Probably the Washington Post staff.
