Here’s What the FBI Was Doing Instead of Catching the Orlando Shooter

what is the role of the FBI in counter-terror operations? How were they not able to prevent this incident, despite “preventing” hundreds of high profile incidents prior to this?

Out of the 508 terrorism-related cases since September 11, 2001, more often than not, the FBI has had a hand in creating the very terrorist threat they have claimed to be protecting us from. Two-hundred and forty-three of these cases involved an FBI informant. In many instances, the targets of these operations, who are later accused of plotting attacks, are not only almost always Muslim, but they are also often suffering from a mental illness, such as schizophrenia. Moreover, the targets are also vulnerable and easily susceptible to bribery as they are desperate for money – so desperate, it seems, they will help put their own friends behind bars.

This can be seen most clearly in the Newburgh Four case, which saw a combination of mental illness and an urgent need for money. One of the “Four,” James Cromitie, was a former drug addict who repeatedly tried to back out, saying “I don’t want anyone to get hurt.” In the words of a U.S. Court Judge, “only the government could have made a “terrorist” out of Mr. Cromitie.”

Another defendant in the Newburgh case, Laguerre Payan, suffered from schizophrenia to the extent he kept bottles of urine in his apartment. David Williams, another of the four, had a brother who needed a liver transplant, and he was prepared to do almost anything for the money to pay for it.

The FBI chooses the most vulnerable members of society and then coaxes a relationship between the target and an “informant,” who helps instigate the terrorist activity. There is, generally speaking, no evidence the targets would have engaged in such activity had it not been for the FBI.

The case of Rezwan Ferdaus involved a man who suffered from severe depression and seizures and had to wear adult diapers for lack of bladder control. An FBI agent told the target’s own father Ferdaus was “obviously” mentally ill. Yet Ferdaus became a target of these FBI operations: he had plans to carry out an attack on a massive scale on Capitol Hill, which the FBI could then “save” the public from — relishing in all their glory.

However, prior to this engagement with the FBI, there was, again, no evidence Ferdaus would have ever engaged in any criminal or terrorist activity. Ferdaus’ attorney argued he had repeatedly tried to back out of this activity.

I'm not sure I buy this argument. We don't know when crimes don't happen, so they get now media attention. But we'll never know if they were thwarted by law enforcement or if plans for crimes just fizzled out.

From the looks of the picture of the FBI agents at Drudge, mainly half of them are overweight women, and I assume the FBI is basically down to an office drama fest as for its culture these days.

The FBI is pretty good at stopping the terrorist plots they initiate. Gotta give ‘em props for that.

do they stop the ones the CIA initiate? Or are they competing against each other?

Boy you are right. The two Caucasian women agents in the picture are porkers and I guarantee neither could chase a bad guy more than a block before they fell to ground puffing and wheezing. Clearly no fitness standards for the FBI.

The 'hundreds' they prevented? We have only their word for that and frankly, I just don't believe them. I think they've been hamstrung from above and so diversity-adjusted, that about all they are really substantively doing is going after those right wingers. Conducting stings, UC and snitch entrapments of a bunch of old farts pissed off at this government.

The truth is these 'agents' and professionals can't find their asses with both hands and a flashlight. At present, they are only there to go after enemies of Obama (which they do well). But THAT does not include Muslims.

If you want to see the horror that the FBI has become, go look at that ridiculous "Quantico" diversity show and pull something cute out of your butt.

This is for the FBI. Either you putz's do something substantive like develop a real case against that bitch Hillary for treason and you start acting like Americans who should be fearful of these Muslims we invite into this country and STOP them - or you can go the hell home and shut the hell up about all the 'actions you've stopped.'

I'm not listening to or believing you any more.

As NYPD detectives use to say, the FBI couldn’t find a Jew in the Bronz.

I have NO FAITH whatsoever in the FBI, They should all be fired and exiled to Syria. EVERYONE of these Radical Islamic Terrorists WERE UNDER FBI INVESTIGATION immediately BEFORE they committed their Terrorist Act in the Name of Islam. But I lost faith a long time ago after TWA800, see James Kallstrom, Lying,Treasonous,POS!

Every one of those the FBI INSTIGATED with an undercover agent.

Be careful about this stopping a crime before it happens. Proving that someone is plotting or having ill thoughts is difficult. Having ill thoughts isn’t a crime. Until the shooter is actually shooting he wasn’t really committing a crime, as far as I am aware. Locking people up on suspicion is contrary to our constitution. If you lock people up on thoughts and wishes, half the people on this site could be behind bars.

Yeah.....most notable was ATF/FBI and Randy Weaver.

If Efrem Zimbalist was still alive, he'd be sorely, sorely ashamed of that agency's legacy.

Sounds exactly like another fed LE agency....the ATF. Guess it easier to get funding if your high profile arrest rate is up.

Yeah, and now some damning evidence is coming out about TWA800. Kallstrom is a government conspirator who took over this investigation and instigated a coverup. My bet stil is that one of our military services shot down the plane. Probably accidentally, but they did it nonetheless and got away with it. At least they’ve gotten away with it thus far.

A harassment complaint from a muzzie against an agent has got to be a career-killing efficiency report black mark under this administration.
The Feebs must be as hamstrung as the Border Patrol.

It took me 12 hours to figure out. Woke up this morning and it lept at me.
