Even in semi-automatic mode, it is very simple to squeeze off two dozen rounds before you even know what has happened. In fully automatic mode, it doesn’t take any imagination to see dozens of bodies falling in front of your barrel. The author is a complete phony. I doubt he fired or has even held an "AR-15 type weapons." He certainly doesn't realize that an AR-15 doesn't have a "fully automatic mode". I wonder what he things the difference between just Automatic and Fully Automatic might be?
