I started with a 4" 629. Moved up to a 10.5" 500Mag. Also a 10.5" 460 Mag and 7" Ruger 454 Casull. My only caution is that the revolvers with a comp on the muzzle should never fire plated bullets. Use only solid lead or heavy copper jackets. The light plating spins off and spews out the comp. You and those nearby get a shower of copper bits.

A .44 magnum doesn’t bother me but there is no way I would fire one of the .500 mags.
If I still handloaded it would be a different matter. Loaded down to maybe 1200 fps with a medium weight bullet should be about right. It would be a nice truck gun.
