The poor idiot newser ... he was emotionally scarred for life because his barrel shrouded death stick felt like a bazooka when he fired it ... it sounded like a cannon ... it emptied a 40-round clip in less than five seconds on full auto ... it bruised his shoulder ... the brass shell casings disoriented him as they flew past his face ... he was anxious and irritable for at least an hour after firing the deadly weapon only a few times ... the smell of sulfur and destruction made him sick ... and now he suffers from PTSD!

I remember seeing, back in 1965, photos of an Army Sgt holding an m-16 up to the front of his face and pulling the trigger. The purpose was to show how little recoil there was. It was also stated that if he had done it with an M-14 it would have bloodied his face and broke his nose.

The Ar-15 and other rifles in .566 have almost NO recoil.
