FRESNO, Calif. (AP) -- A San Diego woman who painted and drew on treasured natural rock formations at national parks across the West and shared her work on social media pleaded guilty Monday to defacing government property.

Maybe she figures she is more talented than God
The vandalism in September and October of 2014 caused serious cleanup problems at the national parks

How about reimbursing them for labor and materials?
What would Ogabe’s Muzzie brotherhood do?

Casey Nocket, 23................How does one get to be so stupid in just 23 years?.................Oh, I forgot, it’s California.......................
She was Double-Stupid.
1. Doing it
2. Broadcasting that she did it on social media.............
She will be fined for that amount since she's been found guilty of the acts. Whether or not she actually winds up paying it back is a separate issue.
Community service doesn't come anywhere close to just punishment. Fine for every dime our tax dollars wasted to clean up after her and then sentence her to one year in prison for each of the defacings. Assign her to the rock pounding inmate crew.
the bitch deserves two years hard labor.
sorry, I read that as “defecating” the first time...
If she’s been defacating rocks, she’s been punished enough already.
Ouch.
In 1970 I had two friends who stopped in a national park on their way home to Crestview, Florida from North Carolina.
They painted their names and home town on some rocks. Not the crime of the century as the park rangers found them quite easily. I don’t think they were punished too severely.
bears resembles to tatooing ones body
She should be fined for that. The beauty of many of these national parks can be overwhelming the first time you visit them. That experience should not have to be diminished by starving artists who vomit their “art” on something already perfect.
Can her parents be charged with raising an idiot?
She has the artistic talent of a high school freshman.
Should that not be worded as "public" property?
I know it's somewhat trifling, but it's a pet peeve.
