The court declined to say whether the Constitution protects openly carrying a gun in public. It said that question was not at issue in the case.

If the real intent was to guarantee the people’s right to have guns and carry them around, the writers of the Bill of Rights could have explicitly stated “keep and bear arms”.

Fox is announcing this as "Federal Court Rules Concealed Carry as unconstitutional".

Obama's one major piece of unfinished business in his 8 year plan to ready the USA for invasion is disarming citizens. He might just pull it off too.

MY right to self defense is NOT dictated by a bunch of black-robed, unelected communist tyrants. What’s in my pccket stays there regardless of what the azzholes state. After the videos and pics of the melee in San Jose and the so-called cops just standing by, I don’t think so. NO. They can go piss up a stump as far as I’m concerned.

Here's several:

• Because I don't want to panic the lilly-livered liberals and have to waste time talking with the police - or worse - because somebody doesn't believe as I do
• Because if I am stopped for a traffic violation, I don't want to increase my chances of death-by-cop by 100X
• Because it is often much more convenient to not show the weapon
• Because I don't wish to escalate the tension of any situation unless necessary
• Because I don't want somebody trying to take my gun away from me in a crowd
• Because there are bad people in the world and I need to protect myself since I cannot count on anyone else to be there when I am in need
• Because I want to and because the 9th/10th amendments should also still apply
• Because I don't want you leftists then taking the next step by prohibiting open carry when all of the unarmed people panic

..and because the Constitution includes the phrase "shall not (imperative form!) be infringed".

So what else is new? Another unconstitutional ruling by a federal court that is unconstitutionally applied. A double dipper.

It's up to the states to reject and nullify unconstitutional acts and decisions of the feds which are by definition tyranny.

Of course also lost on all of the is that the scope of the decision in the particular case presented to the Ninth Circuit applies ONLY to the parties involved. (Precedent also may be applied to another case that exactly matches the facts and legal questions.) This is another HUGE perversion of the power of the court is to allow judicial authority to go beyond the INDIVIDUAL CASE or CONTROVERSY.
