ISIS views the Yazidis - members of an ancient religion who are of Kurdish ethnicity- as heretics and "fire-worshipers," drawing on long-held misconceptions and prejudices against the Yazidis by many Muslims.

Unlike the Jews who are singled out in the Koran, I believe the Yazidis are incorrectly singled out by the Muslims as the worst kind of Kafir like the Jews, because in the Koran Allah warns about the temptations of the devil called Shaitan or Shaytan.

Coincidentally the Yazidis worship a Peacock angel also referred to as shaytan.
