Hillary Clinton took a lot of flak on Monday after a report surfaced that the presidential candidate wore a Giorgio Armani jacket worth more than $12,000 during a speech in April about inequality.
Clinton, who was well-known for her vast pantsuit collection, has upgraded her wardrobe during her most recent bid for president to appear more relatable, according to the New York Post.
Social media users don't seem to be buying it, however.

Plus longer jackets make short people looker shorter and rounder. Now, Maude could pull that look off. I have a friend who wears longer jackets because she is insecure about her bladder control undergarments. Thinks everyone can see them. Hmmmm.

When I first saw that the first thing to come to mind was Herb Tarlek sport jacket.
Now that I’ve seen the whole thing, all I can think of is a certain Carol Burnett sketch.

you can paint lipstick on a PIAPS but it is still a PIAPS
a PIAPS in a $12,000 jacket, wow!
the Clintonistas are better than Leona Helmsley when it comes to connecting with all the “little people”

Check out Hillary Clinton's $12,495 Armani jacket.
Looks more like carpet from Bill's old pickup truck. (The one especially made for seducing Arkansas girls 'back in the day.)

Who in their right mind would pay that much for a freaking jacket?
She likely doesn't know nor care about its cost. Her handlers have likely hired a professional dresser that comes to her house, measures her up then provides the clothing.
I doubt she has seen a monthly credit card or bank account statement in the last 25 years. And I would also bet that she doesn't remember how to drive a car or even have a drivers license since she's been chauffeured for the last 25 years......

My momma wore a housecoat like that! Scrambling eggs in fluffy slippers and that hideous thing. How can be $12K? My dad barely made that in a year.

Shame on you. She’s not wearing a carpet bag. She’s wearing the carpet. (No ill-conceived pun intended.)
