Republicans controlling the Senate are abandoning an effort to use their power over the federal purse strings to block implementation of the Affordable Care Act.
The more pragmatic approach with a huge $164 billion spending measure reflects a hope by top Republicans like Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to remove veto bait from must-pass spending bills in hopes of advancing them more easily.

Trump will do many things for our side, but getting rid of the government funding health care is not one of them.
I'm afraid you are right. People like you and me, who believe that paying for health care is a PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY are now a distinct minority.

That begs the question as to what his principles are.
McConnell sided with the libs even going back to the Reagan administration.

The Senate? All spending legislation must originate in the House.
Okay, I forgot, we are Xtra Constitutional in this regime.

This is why beltway “conservatives” like Cruz and Sasse love McConnell. He does the dirty work ramming through bills big donors want and they can still strut about giving red meat for the base speeches.

Not so deep down, these days. It’s on the surface. They won’t admit to the existence of the Uniparty so long as the voters go along with being suckered, though.

What on earth is a must-pass spending bill??
A bill that must be passed so Obama doesn't stomp his feet and call Ryan and McConnell names and make them cry.

Why do people still say that they are surrender(ing), which implies that any of them were conservative in the first place?
[Amended] Must-pass Spending Bill An appropriations bill put forth by RINOs to cover their full-throated support of Democrat aims under the guise of assuring that necessary services and programs are fully funded.

The Tea Party politicians caved when they did not demand Traitorobama’s impeachment.
After that they’ve only serviced the Demonicrats with Lewinskies.

“IT IS DESTROYING HEALTH CARE FOR THE MIDDLE CLASS! It is hurting people badly..”
Who makes money off of this? Congress, the globalists, the industry leaders shorting their own stocks. Obamacare doesn’t help patients. It lines the pckets of the very wealthy and speeds up Cloward-Piven.
This is the Matrix.
