I have a problem with people (not you) referring to a lectern as a podium. You stand on a podium and you stand behind a lectern. Music conductors stand on a podium (as an example).

Sounds like someone is in need of a stool softener.

Oh it's just one of my pet peeve's. The other one that drives me crazy is the expression: Free Gift. If it's a gift of course it's free.

George Carlin has a great chapter in his book (sorry, don't recall the name) all about these things.

I guess you can add: adding the word 'way' as in this is way expensive rather than 'too' expensive and also: 'these ones'.

I guess it's the result of a proper home schooling.

Finally it's way of striking back on all those other anal cavities that seem they need to correct other people's spelling or grammar.

But then, once in a while I will purposely mispill a word or deliberately using poor grammar just to give those folks something to bark abaout.
