The L.A. County Board of Supervisors is planning to put a proposal on the November ballot that would impose a .5% tax for those with personal incomes exceeding $1 million annually. The revenue generated from the taxestimated to be $250 to $300 million annuallywould go toward funding the countys 47-point program to wipe out homeless in L.A. county.

My point is Mr. Reaper, intentionally flooding this country it has literally compromised and undermined our electoral process. This was planned and motivated by very bad intentions. This is part of their goal. Corrupt everything, divide the once united, etc. This would be like distributing a trillions in counterfeit cash, not backed by anything. It would totally destabilize the economy. Oh wait, haven't those in D.C. already done this too?
Btw, we don't get any more chances. We get it right this time, in this election or that's it. This country is done. No joke.
This will only bring more homeless into LA and an exodus of those paying the tax out.

For someone making just a million, it only amounts to $5000. Those folks probably spend that much per month for their illegal alien landscapers, maids and pool cleaners.
1. California is the epitome of tax n spend insanity.
2. LA mayor Garcetti spends 120+ MILLION per year on the homeless problem. Its projected that they will spend 1.2 Billion dollars over the next ten years.
There are still many hopeless mentally ill homeless camping out year ‘round on highway overpasses and underpasses.
The more LA spends on the homeless, the more arrive.
3. LA and CA state sales tax have hit 10 %.
Reagan’s Golden state has gone to hell.

My question is why aren’t all those homeless loving, guilt ridden zillionaires already not donating those millions out of the goodness of their hearts?
My prediction: many zillionaires will decamp.
Well stated summary of what’s been done deliberately to the land that we love/d.
In politics, very little happens accidentally.
Other than hopefully getting Don Trump in, what can we do to get people to be of one accord and understand our existential threats?
We now live in an Idiocracy that has become tribal.
Our national and cultural identity is atomized.
How do we get people to see the light?
RE: “You don’t understand. It’s not complex. Your fed gov, our alleged so-called government, aided and abetted importing tens of millions of illegals into the U.S. They’ve done this with in concert with the Republicans and the Democrats and it’s happened in all states all over the U.S.

My other prediction - bums from everywhere will flood LA.
If you pay them, they will come.
And the mass migration of bums into LA.
Is LA trying to ship its millionaires out of the area?
Says “personal income over a mil”.
Sell Jay Leno’s cars.
I’m OK with this as long as they only tax democrats.
Watch the price of real estate in Hollywood, Beverly Hills, BelAire, etc. nosedive.
Maybe it will be similar to Teddy Kennedy’s yacht tax, intended to stick it to people who could afford yachts. Instead it put the yacht builders out of business along with all their employees.
well isn’t that nice. LA has figured out a way to spend 250mil on more govt employees who will of course expect pensions and perks. I doubt much will actually go to helping homeless people, seeing that hundreds of millions have already been spent by dozens of non-pros with little effect, but, hey, the govt workers will sure look sharp doing it.
Build the Wall. It’s cheaper.
The last rich folk tax out here raised the value of a friends place on the NV side of Tahoe $50k overnight. Pretty stupid to raise taxes on high earners when there’s a state with 0% income tax next door.
Michael Moore’s northern Michigan home is on Torch Lake, which is only about 15-20 miles south of me. I saw him once, in my regular home-town restaurant, but I didn’t want to make any kind of scene by talking or confronting the jerk. Don’t hold your breath expecting for him to share any of his wealth or resources; after all, he’s a left-wing nut case.
Even if the govt. DID enact and strictly enforce taxes on the extremely wealthy, it would yield no revenues, because the extremely wealthy and their lucre would simply fade away ("go Galt," find loopholes, relocate their funds, etc.).
Regards,
He did openly say that he’d let refugees into his home - even wrote a letter stating so. It was on Breitbart. I never did see any follow up, which made me suspicious. If he did have a bunch of refugees living at his mansion, I can’t image that the press wouldn’t be promoting him to sainthood and showing us all of the wonderful people he saved.
OTOH, if he never followed through, or he did and they trashed the place like they do in Europe, we wouldn’t hear a peep, as it is now.
I can’t say it upsets me too much, considering the politics of that bunch, but even so, can they legally do that? I don’t remember any entity in California, other than the state government, having the power to impose an Income Tax.
Beyond that, it will be interesting to see how Sacramento reacts - those are the kind of taxes that drive people away, as in OUT OF STATE, where they could pay NO INCOME TAX at all (rather than their 13.3% to the state)...costing Sacramento 27 times what this tax could have raised from a hyper-rich guy for Los Angeles.
Finally, assuming it passes, it will be interesting to visit in a few years and see all of the homeless gone, it will be a much nicer place - NOT! - they are only on the streets because politicians PUT THEM THERE to be in the face of the rich. They will not be disappearing, until higher levels of government force those governments to clear them out.
Look right at the clooneys, the streisands and the all hollywood hypocrites
