Probably true. I’m sure plenty have fallen into the wrong hands, and possibly given to them by this administration.

That was my first thought but why the trident? Low serial number (326) and what kind of finish is that?

I would have thought that SEALS would have been better armed than a standard M-16. They need a better union that could get them some Mark 12s.

It would be interesting to see the face of the the local FFL shop guy while trying to sell that item, and even more interesting to see what the fed systems kick back when he enters the serial number.
That just doesn’t look right, not that I am an expert on gun finishes.
It appears that it was stamped then spray painted over the stamping.

Reciever says A1. Finish Color not right to be a true A1. Grip and buttstock not from an A1. Markings do not look correct.
Upper definitely not from an A1.

Probably built the gun from parts, and stamped that into it - to try and foist it on an impressionable buyer for an excessive price.
