I don’t have the answer, but can speculate along with anyone else here.
In her left eye, outer corner (the eye on the right as you view the picture) seems to have a discoloration of the white of the eyeball.
It looks to me like a petechia. Petechia are caused by a great stress put on the tiny blood vessels to the point they break.
Back in college, I had a roommate who indulged too freely in the joy juice and spent the night praying SEVERELY to the porcelain god. Roomie’s eyes the next day had some petechiae which appeared somewhat like what this picture seems to hint at.
Just a guess. Don’t know this. For all I know, it’s a reflection of something off camera or something.
