Your quote from the Declaration of Independence is right on point. This is the place to draw the line in the sand. Our founders would be appalled at the over reach of the federal government.

Founders did an amazing job creating a framework that protected us from consolidated monopolized government power. But we are like the frog who was very slowly boiled to death because he accepted the incremental increase in heat...until it was too late.

We have long have accepted the incremental hits to our American sensibilities. Accepting insult after insult manifesting in encroachment on our sovereignty and punishment for our liberty. Voices contra to fundamental Americanism have been at work for decades. They now contro of our institutions. They are even penetrating so called conservative institutions. But institutions are not the individual. Social media allows us to be our own institution. Peopke are connected differently. So maybe just in the nick of time, technology is allowing us to consolidate around an old fashioned American Alpha Male and push back. Because they will not stop turning up the heat on us frogs, if allowed more power.
