I love Rush, but he’s wrong about “Nagasaki made them give up”.

That SOUNDS convincing, but that, too, is wrong.

Rush is almost never wrong.

What made them give up, was hearing The Emperor on the radio for the first time telling them to give up.

Now, if Tojo and Co. had gotten to the Emperor beforehand, all bets were off.

He’s wrong plenty of times. Today for example he had Art Laffer working for Reagan. Laffer in fact worked under Carter and had left government by the time Reagan was elected. Military history is another weak point of his. Take him as entertainment and you do fine. Think he’s an encyclopedia and you’re setting yourself up.
