I was up in the wee hours after midnight Thursday when Daniel Horowitzs tweet crossed my radar: The GOP-controlled House had just voted in the dead of night to write into law Obamas executive order banning federal contractors who discriminate against transgendered individuals. We all know now what that means: If you refuse to let anatomical males into your womens dressing rooms, locker rooms, or bathrooms, you are just a bigoted hater, end of story. Just ask Representative Zoe Lofgren (D., Calif.), who descended, Trumplike, to insults when challenged by a witness. Youre a bigot, lady, she said, wagging her finger disapprovingly at Gail Heriot, who is a law professor and member of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights.

Thanks. I just skim read to see ... MY congress critter! I almost puked. Haven’t written him yet but he has always replied. Gonna take me some time to become rational and not just call him a jelly fish (no offense to the deadly creatures that I think are gorgeous) without expletives.
I hope the funding is for mental health counseling.
How come the speaker of the House is not on the list? This amendment can’t make it to the floor without his approval?
So if it gets to the floor it’s an automatic yes vote from all on the committee? you can tell I don’t know the procedures.
Mercifully, I don’t watch that much network TV. But, having mentioned it to my 85 y.o. mother on our way to mass saturday, she chimed back without missing a beat that she saw the P.S.A. and that Rodrigo grew a beard. I guess she’s way ahead of me on this issue.
