IIRC, the first Big Macs, being their high end item, were wrapped with a light cardboard band to keep everything together and then put in the first cardboard box. Recall the Big Mac packs always at the bottom of the bag with paper wrapped items on top.
I just had a little chuckle for myself. I wonder if the USSS guarding Mr. T thought they were going to dine on steak and various epicurean delights every day and instead they’re getting McDonald’s and Wendy’s :-)

I sort of remember that cardboard band, now that you mention it. While I don't have a clear memory of it, I am pretty sure that the foam box was a "new" thing for BigMacs when it came out. Highschool years for me, I think, everything back then is turning into vague recollection.

It’s a politically induced drought in central Cali.
When you drive through there you can see some land gets water, some doesn’t. If it’s land owned by Boxer and Feinstein family they get water. Others do not.
It’s CRAZY!!
