Knoxville vape companies are fuming mad after the FDA passed new regulations this month. They say this new law will put an end to the vaping industry.
They are shocked at how far reaching the regulations are, and now they're afraid the new restrictions will destroy the industry.
Hunter Allison with Tri State Vape Company will have to submit an application for each new product. He says that would come with a hefty price tag. Allison says, "The absolutely lowest price I've seen is $300,000 per product and that's $4.5 million for me and there's no possible way.
He's already put $150,000 into his e-liquid manufacturing company.
He says more money will put him out of business.
Store owners say they've made some major contributions to the community employing 15 people and generating $280,000 in tax revenue. They say new regulations will put them out of business, and they won't be the only ones. Bill Livezey says, "They've basically blanketed the industry with such rigorous standards that no one is going to survive this."

Spit.
Most of the vapors I know are libs. But this will be blamed on the pubies.
Tell them it is Transgender Compliant and helps make people turn gay, I bet you could get a waiver.
“...blanketed the industry with such rigorous standards that no one is going to survive this.”
And that is why the administration is doing it....
I’d actually make this an election issue. This is of the utmost importance to millennials. Moreover, it’s just frigging wrong for the Feds to be doing what they’re doing with this industry. It doesn’t need regulation. Big Tobacco companies certainly want it as well as scum in DC for “revenue”, but the whole damn industry has done just fine w/o those caring souls at the FDA.
Good thing republicans control both houses of congress
What is this “Congress” you speak of??
I know the King had a couple of advisory committees called the House and the Senate, but they only advise and have no authority. so What exactly is this “Congress” you speak of?? Do they have any Power, Authority?? Doesn’t the King have to Appoint them to their jobs first making him still supreme ruler??
I stand corrected. Well played sir!
FDA Regulations Are Intended to Kill the Vaping Industry.
There. Fixed it.
Hate to say but the FDA is regulating a drug: nicotine. They’re SUPPOSED to do that!
They regulate nicotine patches and vaping delivers the same drug but just a different way.
Abolish the FDA if it isn’t making people happy, but this thing is in line with how Congress authoirzed them to act.
You’ve hit the nub of the matter.
Federal agencies have WAY, WAY TOO MUCH POWER to make rules with the force of law.
And you are correct, it was handed to them by CONGRESS.
Time to force Congress to take it back.
Exactly. Congress had no right to delegate legislative authority to the Executive branch yet they did it anyway because it’s so much easier than debating the merits of these regulations all the time.
The FDA should find a way to regulate industry when appropriate without killing the industry. No?
Big tobacco is paying big money to have this competitor taken out. This is the way business is conducted now in the US.
The power to tax is the power to destroy.
The power to regulate is the power to destroy faster.
Patriots, the Founding States made the first numbered clauses in the Constitution, Sections 1-3 of Article I, to clarify that all federal legislative powers are vested in the elected members of Congress, not in the executive or judicial branches, especially not in non-elected federal bureaucrats like those running the FDA, IRS and EPA.
By unconstitutionally delegating legislative powers to non-elected bureaucrats, corrupt Congress is wrongly protecting federal legislative powers from the wrath of the voters in blatant defiance of Sections 1-3 mentioned above imo.
Lawmakers are letting non-elected federal officials outside the legislative branch get away with doing their unpopular legislative work for them, probably so that lawakers can keep their voting records clean. By keeping their voting records clean, corrupt lawmakers are arguably able to fool low-information patriots into reelecting them.
Remember in November !
When patriots elect Trump, they need to also elect a new, state sovereignty-respecting Congress that will work within its constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers to support Trumps vision as an expert business person to make America great again.
Note that such a Congress will also probably be willing to fire state sovereignty-ignoring activist justices.
Sounds less like it will “kill the industry” and more like it’s going to put the small players out of business and help the big companies. Most likely big companies that are contributors to key politicians...
“Theyre SUPPOSED to do that!”
Where is the word “drug” mentioned in the Constitution?
“The FDA should find a way to regulate industry when appropriate without killing the industry. No?”
I suppose if there was an answer to the question of what is in all that vaping fluid that gets imported from China I’d agree.
Drugs are not mentioned in the Constitution but “life” is mentioned in the Declaration and the FDA is supposed to make sure that the foods and drugs we ingest don’t kill us.
