It’s been bothering me lately that news outlets keep calling the protesters of Trump events “Trump protesters”. They are anti-Trump protesters, do they call anti-war protesters “war protesters”? Do they call gay rights protesters “gay protesters”?

It’s been bothering me lately that news outlets keep calling the protesters of Trump events “Trump protesters”. They are anti-Trump protesters, do they call anti-war protesters “war protesters”? Do they call gay rights protesters “gay protesters”? I noticed that, too. Very deliberate. It's designed to plant a false image of Trump's supporters being the perps. Media knows exactly what they're doing. It's epecially effective combined with the word "violent", along with video looping of these "violent Trump protesters" to go along with it.
