I don’t think he needs to debate Sanders but I think it puts Hillary in a bit of a fix since she backed out of a debate with the Bern (as I understand it).

Trump, can say. “Bernie and I actually have much in common, but the difference is that I can get things done, he can’t. Secondly, Bernie wants to put people off work and on the gov’t payroll. He wants us to be like VEnezsuela....

When I heard it I remarked to "She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed" that Trump had just painted Hillary into a corner.
"She won't do it, but I will debate Crazy Bernie."
And it would give Trump a chance to show Bernie's supporters that there really is no free lunch but the "Great Again America" will give them many more opportunities to not only pay for their lunch but prosper magnificently as well. And for many of them, it will be the very first time they have seen what unbridled, unfettered capitalism can do for individual freedom.
