I love this election year. It will probably end in tragedy, but damn, what a ride! No kidding, like the serial cliff hangers of days gone by. Who needs soap operas. And we still have the Dem Convention coming up! Washherhair-Schultzie battling for her life on the undercard, disaffected Berners in the streets, oh man. Popcorn sales will be rising as fast as gun and ammo sales.

I love this election year. It will probably end in tragedy, but damn, what a ride!
When I was a teenager we had a record album at home called The Incredible Year. It was produced by CBS News. Basically audio clips of reporting of all of the horrible, tragic things that happened in 1968 (Chicago convention riots, RFK assassination, MLK assassination, more riots, Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia, etc. etc.)
I listened to it and came away shaking my head and thinking "My God, how did my parents ever survive THAT?"
