That position is getting tenuous for the suspended candidates. The pressure is on and many feel compelled to vote for Trump.
What’s a Kasich?
A lot of states allow delegates to become free agents if their candidate is inactive. It depends on state language. Other states bind delegates regardless of their candidate’s active status. And some states free up delegates if only one name is placed in nomination.
In any case, Kasich doesn’t get to decide unless the individual state says he does.
His delegates should give him the middle finger and instructions on where to shove his head.
“ason that has been wild and unpredictable, an aide explained. The governor also thinks his delegates could become leverage to encourage Trump to be a more positive and unifying figure ahead of the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, said the aide, who requested anonymity to speak candidly.”
Trump should ask a simple question. What is it that is keeping me from unifying the party? I’m conservative. You all say your conservative. Where is there a difference in opinion? Make the RINO’s say what it is. And if they can’t, primary them.
From what up I’m reading his head is already firmly planted.
A steaming pile of bovine excrement.
Yup.
Under Rule 40b only Trump and Cruz can place their names in nomination.
Its a foregone conclusion Trump will win the nomination on the first ballot.
Kasich didn’t win 8 states so his instruction to his delegates to remain bound to him makes no sense whatsoever.
Trump had better be very, very careful trusting the GOPe. Very. Frankly....I don’t see how it would be possible.
ICEHOLES come in a variety of sizes...Goodbye Son of Mailman!
Psychotic.
Guran-F**KING-tee this is simply for material for another chapter of his book that will come out later. Apparently they already interviewed his 7 voters and still didn’t have enough material.
Even if he released the delegates they don’t automatically go to Trump. As far as I can tell per the Ohio republican party rules they are bound to Kasich, no matter what, for the first vote. The other states have other rules, but Ohio is the majority of his delegates.
He belongs in a mental institution.
Trump is within about 40 delegates now. The tally should be overwhelming in 2 weeks.
Can the delegates on their own switch their support?
Who cares? Trump will have plenty of his own
Pretty sure they’re only bound through the first vote John.
