Hillary Clinton’s email problems just got much worse
The Washington Post ^ | May 25, 2016 | Chris Cillizza

One of the two big dominoes in the Hillary Clinton email controversy toppled today: The State Department's inspector general released its report on the email practices of Clinton and a number of other past secretaries of state. (The other major domino is, of course, the FBI investigation into Clinton's decision to exclusively use a private email server while serving as the nation's top diplomat.)

The report, which you can read in its entirety here, badly complicates Clinton's past explanations about the server and whether she complied fully with the laws in place governing electronic communication. And it virtually ensures that Clinton's email practices will be front and center in Donald Trump's fusillade of attacks against her credibility and honesty between now and Nov. 8.

Here's the key passage from the Roz Helderman and Tom Hamburger's article on the report:

Interesting theory. Should I hope for it, or not? I’m torn.

I agree. Biden/Warren will be harder to beat.

Lanny Davis was on one of the morning talk shows today very smoothly explaining how there was no problem because the Clinton Foundation had been transparent, and besides it did a lot of good work around the world.

“Should I hope for it?”

I don’t think so. Biden/Warren is their strongest ticket, by far.

That’s pathetic. But you’re probably right.

Biden harder to beat? Maybe by one and a half percentage points.

The Post predictably tries to put up a brave face, but even they have to admit this is not good news for Hillary. The Washington Times has a less sugar-coated version of the story, which predictably is simply damning.

She's toast in any sane universe. Trump will beat her to a pulp with this.

Biden is a vicious and highly effective partisan. He invented Borking, he invented Anita Hill, he chewed Paul Ryan to bits.

He’s the most dangerous RAT by far - and has synergy with Fauxcahontas.

If I was Obama, I’d arrest all 3 Clintons tomorrow.

Then you'd be risking a data dump of all the information that the Clinton Mafia has been collecting about you. Obama vs. Clinton is a mutually assured destruction scenario, hence unlikely to seriously damage either side, and even more unlikely to benefit the American people.

It’s almost sad that the lil lass didn’t get a chance to be a real person. I mean, some intelligence certainly got transmitted, but contaminated by hype and corruption: so, um, do you think she could have resisted?

Maybe vicious, but I think Sanders cultists may not like him much.
