Happy belated Bob. Believe it or not, you have plenty of fans here on the FR.
My favorite of the 500+ songs he has written so far is Forever Young. Feel free to chime in with yours

Groan.
I can remember when he was just a kid.
Wow, that makes me feel olddddd!

Saw his most recent tour. He sounds better than ever. I have no favorite tune, but lately I’ve been stuck on ‘Duquesne Whistle’

Dylan comes from a time when lyrics were important, and he is a master of the poetic. He took his name from the poet Dylan Thomas ("Do not go gentle into that good night ..."). But it is arguable that the student has outpaced the master.
Happy birthday, Mr. Dylan. And many more to come ...

I’m listening right now to a playlist of 50s and 60s love songs/ballads .... Days of Wine and Roses, Love Story, etc .... lyrics

Picking a favorite Dylan tune is not easy for me. Depending upon my mood, there are dozens that could fit the bill. But Forever Young didn't really hit me until I had kids of my own.

One of the worst interviews I have ever heard was Dylan about 10 years back. Complete mumbles, incoherent. I don’t recall him having substance abuse issues, but that day you would thought surely he was on a stupor

ALL of my music from the 60's and early seventies didn't hit ME until marriage, kids and older age
It's like ... memorizing scripture ... God brings it up at a time when you need it, but at the time it was work and maybe didn't mean that much ... then

The Times they are a Changin’ and Girl from the North Country with Johnny Cash. Rosanne does the song at many of her concerts.

Dylan would likely have remained a niche artist without his straightforward love songs. Tomorrow Is A Long Time, To Be Alone With You, I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight, Winterlude, and others. Those songs made him very well-liked by various types of mainstream pop and country artists.

Really, he's the national poet laureate. No one wrote prettier music or more insightful lyrics.

Tomorrow is a Long Time as performed by Judy Collins! The lyrics are just amazing.
