It is stated explicitly in the owners manual that the use of 15% ethanol voids the warranty on my 2013 Toyota Tacoma.

As an aside, there is a racing supply store in Baytown that sells race car fuels, and they sell gas without ethanol.
Other than that the closest gas station that sold that used to be in Alpine.

Methanol has even lower energy content and is even more corrosive, and far more toxic than ethanol. Its advantage has been its synthesis from natural gas.
yes, it does, but the octane overall is adjusted to compensate. Non oxygenated gas (non-ethanol blends) are typically 92-95 or so octane, which will cause pinging (pre-ignition) in most stock domestic vehicles and damage the pistons.

Alcohol dissolves parts including neoprene. The neoprene diagram on my turns into gum with holes like Swiss cheese and no longer functions. The diaphragm in the fuel pumps dissolves and will no longer work. Old fuel lines become dissolved and leak.
It costs $100.00 to replace the diaphragm on my ATV. Some parts on old cars can not found to replace them.
Use Amsoil quick shot in your gas. I left the gas in my string trimmer over the winter (for about 5 months) without an issue, it started right up and ran like a champ every time I have used it this year. Same with all my small engines. I have used 10% ethanol gas and nothing but that the entire life of all of my small engines without issue.
Instead of paying for carb repairs, just use the recommended amount for cleaning and run them choked so they stay running long enough to get the quick shot through the system. Let it sit a little while, then run it again and see how it works when not choked.
and Price goes up, Mileage goes down with lesser energy content of alcohol.
I can sell you a carb-kit for a 57 Studebaker, I guarantee you it is made with ethanol-proof parts.

The blue bottle marine formula Sta-bil has the anti-corrosion chemicals you need NOW and especially in the future if the ethanol percent increases. There are others out there. Never run a small engine without some gasoline additive to counteract ethanol corrosive effects!
Same here. Finally found a place that sells pure gasoline.
They now call it recreational fuel. Usually a buck or more a gallon above going rate for gas at the pump.
It’s all I run in any of my 2 cycle engines. No more carb rebuilds after that.
Trump has to destroy the EPA. But it may be the hardest fight of his Presidency - the Socialists will use every underhanded tactic imaginable before to defend such an effective tool for their cause.
If I recall your 2006 Explorer is fuel injected so the only gaskets that would be affected will be O-rings in the fuel injection system. Having said that it would be nice if the feds would get out of the farm subsidy business and let the markets produce the best fuel for our vehicles.
The point is to eventually elliminate individual transport, thereby forcing those who presently live rural, ex-urban and sub-urban back into the cities....or as the politicians call them, "sustainable communities."
Yes but you have to search for it and it is super expensive. It is the only thing I use for small motors but only one station within 30+ miles sells it and when I picked my spring supply up it cost $2.55 vs. $1.60/gal for standard gas at the time.
Barely mentioned in the article is that ethanol gas is terrible for small motors like lawn mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, tillers, ect. The motors run like crap and cut out constantly at best, and you may have to rebuild a 2-strokes carburetor for every tank of the ethanol crap.
