The problem with haiku's is that in English, they are totally worthless—no meter, rhythm, or flow, no beauty or imagery, just jumbled non-sensical words. No, haiku's are much much better in the original Klingon.

I found out recently haikus have layers of meaning and subtle subtext behind them, or at least they’re supposed to.

I went to public school; it’s best I keep it simple:

I respectfully
Disagree with your thesis
You’re a poopy face!

Whenever I try to take it to the next level of class and civility, the inevitable still happens:

Leaves fall on calm pond
The oak watches, eternal
You’re a poopy face!
