About the same time I was listening to those girls sing Imagine, this item came across my news feed:
By morning, three newborns were already dead. The day had begun with the usual hazards: chronic shortages of antibiotics, intravenous solutions, even food. Then a blackout swept over the city, shutting down the respirators in the maternity ward. Doctors kept ailing infants alive by pumping air into their lungs by hand for hours. By nightfall, four more newborns had died. The death of a baby is our daily bread, said Dr. Osleidy Camejo, a surgeon in the nations capital, Caracas, referring to the toll from Venezuelas collapsing hospitals.
Venezuela has some of the worlds largest supplies of oil, with more proven oil reserves than Saudi Arabia. But about 15 years ago, the late president Hugo Chavez set out to impose a socialist revolution, making a particular point about his great munificence in providing free health care for everyone. In pursuit of this revolution, Chavez crushed every industry outside the oil sector and brought the state-owned oil company under his control. The result has been a long spiral into poverty and oppression. Now we can see the results: socialism literally kills babies.

This has nothing to do with homeschooling or education, but parents who homeschool could use this as an example of what happens when Socialism takes root. There are homeschoolers who teach economics, right?
I cannot emphasize this enough: Venezuela has more oil reserves than Saudi Arabia. Am I the only person who fears this could happen in the U.S.?
Feel the Burnie....
Anyone who advocates socialism like this commissar Sanders should be vilified by the media, not celebrated.
No doubt it coukd occur here. All the more reason to prep for the longer term and move away from concentrations of ferals.
I know that Venezuela sells gasoline in the US under the name VALERO. Since Chavez became the dictator there, I for one have no interest in patronizing those gas stations.
No.
Citgo.
There’s no reason to imagine. Those empty shelf pictures could have been taken at my local Texas HEB. I always have a continuing two column list of BASIC foodstuffs printed out on a regular sheet of paper with the 25 most important items starred. I’ll be lucky to mark off a third of the list. Cauliflower, an apple corer and a fly swat have been on the list for a year. The last trip to the store was the first time they’d ever carried puff pastry sheets so I grabbed four. I’m not holding out hope they’ll be in stock next time. Milk and bread may not be stocked.
They figured out how to beat the 2 biggest problems of our time:
1) The income gap - if everyone makes $0 there’s no gap
2) Climate change - no money for gas or electricity means no CO2. In a related plus for the greenies they don’t waste natural resources to wipe the Hilary off their butt since they don’t have toilet paper.
It’s a liberal’s paradise. Not sure why they’re all talking about moving to Canada if Trump wins. Venezuela is the place to be.
This may seem harsh, but I wish they would send photos of the dead Venezuelan babies to the US professors and college students.
Nope. For the first time ever we are stocking cans and dogfood too!
No, you're not. There are many in top gov positions who's goal is this very thing. Many of those are Obama appointees so his legacy will continue long after he leaves office.
I talk about the horrible stuff happening there to lots of people and most have no idea.
We sent gloves, chuks, and bandages to a group in Miami that is smuggling things into the country via Amazon.
Then today I sent a box of snack bars, tootsie rolls and some other basics to them as well.
If anyone wants an address to send things to, please message me.
My heart is breaking for these people. They are killing people on the streets for a few dollars. They beat and burn them alive.
Thugs are everywhere and crime is rampant.
I hate Maduro so much.
Milk and bread may not be stocked.
