The Romanian hacker who claimed he easily breached Hillary Clintons personal email server is finalizing a plea deal with the FBI and U.S. attorney, Fox News has learned.
Marcel Lehel Lazar, the 44-year-old hacker also known as Guccifer, first gave indications he wanted to cooperate with the U.S. government in mid-April, during an interview with Fox News. Lazar, in a subsequent discussion, said he was working on a plea deal he then suspended media contact earlier this month.
On Monday, a spokesman for the U.S. attorney in the Eastern District of Virginia confirmed that a change of plea hearing is now scheduled for Lazar on Wednesday morning. He originally had pleaded not guilty to the nine-count indictment when he was extradited to the U.S.
He is now expected to plead guilty to some charges.
It is not publicly known whether the deal being worked out has a provision for cooperating with federal authorities and whether that has anything to do with the investigation into Clintons exclusive use of a private email server for government business while secretary of state.
But an intelligence source familiar with the FBI probe said if Guccifer pleads guilty to compromising Clinton aide Sidney Blumenthals AOL account which is one of the nine charges it will show that Clintons use of a personal server put sensitive information outside secure government channels and made it accessible to foreign hackers.
[Clintons] gross negligence allowed this material to get out to an adversary, the source said. Through her communications with Blumenthal, [Clinton] contributed exposure and risk.

Yesterday wouldn’t be soon enough.
Clinton will skate. The Clintons always skate.
flush those emails down the tubes. nothing to see here.
HRC will never ever go to jail. Obama will pardon her before he leave office because they have goods on each other case closed.
If this hillary creature actually wins do not her minions realize that her presidency will one daily clusterfuc?...EVERY DAY.
what is wrong with those freaks?
So two hypothetical choices... He could’ve taken the plea deal, which he did, or flip the whole of the government the bird and publicly release every single one.
So, bearing in mind they HATE each other, and would NEVER “trust” each other, and if he pardoned her he would lose all his leverage, WHAT would be the advantage for Obama? What’s in a Hillary pardon for him?

“So hes talking with the feds to avoid prosecution, while the criminal hillary gets a free pass.”
My exact thought!
depends on your definition of breaking laws
They are ALL mentally ill.
Actually just the opposite concerning Guccifer--if he's finalizing a plea deal, he's heading to federal prison more than likely and not avoiding prosecution. If he was avoiding prosecution he'd just be going free and not pleading to anything. I won't comment on Hillary getting a free pass, because that wouldn't surprise me either way.
Doesn’t take a genius to figure out that he was extradited to the US with a strong probability of a crime committed. If he pleads guilty to hacking Hellary’s e-mail its prolly a wise move on the FBI to have waited for this development.
It matters not if anyone breached the server. It only matters that she moved it!!! This is over!! Where the HELL is our JUSTICE system?? Is it just for me and you?
I hope the plea deal works. Maybe he can help the FBI learn how to do it — they were having a hard time getting into the phone of the San Bernardino terrorist who murdered many people and died fighting the FBI, when they tried to arrest him.
It’s interesting that this is starting to concentrate on Blumenthal.
Didn’t Obama expressly forbid Blumenthal from working at State when Hillary requested him as an aid?
There are many investigative angles to get at Hillary. By choosing the Blumenthal angle, it seems to me that the FBI and DOJ are taking the approach that best gives Obama an out.
If so, this could be bad news for Clinton...
For later
These guys for starters:
On March 20, 2013, USA Today reported that Guccifer had successfully hacked the e-mail account of former aide to president Bill Clinton, Sidney Blumenthal
Interesting. I hope this story stays in the forefront.
