This may be getting ahead of things but how would Obama be able to sabotage a Trump administration before he leaves office. Keep in mind that I'm just thinking like a leftist here. Obviously, they have no consideration for those that disagree with them or those that stand in the way of their pursuit of absolute power and control.
My goal here is to simply brainstorm with the many great minds at FR to thwart this plan that is obviously a foregone conclusion. I think that the leftovers from the Obama administration are a big threat. Although, I think that this is usually a problem when there's a transfer of power from one party to the other, this transfer doesn't have a precedent.
So, any ideas would be helpful as even with Trump's election, I don't think we're out of the woods by far.
The name says it all.
The correct question is what *won’t* he do.
“Love that screen name.”
He already knows that!
It’s from Star Trek, actually
Your name comes from a Star Trek episode? Which one?
Well, I sort of regret saying that now. There’s a couple of them, actually. One of the TOS episodes is titled “Turnabout Intruder”, where one of Kirk’s old girlfriends steals his body and William Shatner does an amazing acting job as a bitter ex-lover, body-thief, psychopath, etc. And it’s only after a certain crazy point when things go way too far that the rest of the crew begins to realize the truth.
The other one is a TNG episode titled “Violations”. Counselor Troi, being a telepath, is, well, telepathically violated by another telepath. It’s a crime on their planet, equivalent to rape. But I’m thinking “If it’s a crime to think about someone in that context, then I’m guilty as sin”. But that’s Star Trek for you—all kinds of space rules that we didn’t even know there were space laws against.
Why do you resent saying that?
All the explanation necessary I suppose. There’s also a little bit more: if we could all read each others’ minds, would we consider it an intrusion? It’s just something I’ve thought about.
Interesting, as I’ve been thinking that lately. Why I found your name so interesting.
