Over the past couple weeks, students at colleges across the country have retreated into their safe spaces to protest the hate speech that is Donald Trumps name.
Never to be left out of a big PC trend, the Claremont Colleges have seen plenty of oversensitivity to Trump as well. Students and administrators at both Scripps College and Pitzer College have referred to the phrases #Trump2016 and Make America as harassment, intimidation, and racism, among other things. What these students seem to be missing is that their outrage is exactly what has made Trumps candidacy so successful.
Political correctness has reached a point where it is essentially impossible to have an honest, open conversation about sensitive issues. Trumps rise is nothing more than a direct response to the growing trend of language policing, and nowhere has this pattern of offense-taking victim culture been more evident than right here in Claremont.
At Pomona College, students protested an America-themed party because they felt that it supported imperialism, violence, and racist power structures. A mad scientist-themed party was opposed because the student government felt that the partys nameMudd Goes Maddtrivializes mental health and disability issues.
At Pitzer College, the Student Senate rejected a proposed Yacht Club because they thought that the word yacht was offensive to low-income students. Just weeks later, that same Student Senate did not approve a students request to start a campus branch of the national DreamCatcher Foundationan organization that helps to give happy experiences to terminally ill hospice patientsbecause, even though the Student Senators believed that it seems like a worthy organization in their goals and mission, they were concerned that the word DreamCatcher was a form of cultural appropriation. This despite the fact that the CEO of the national organization is Native American herself.

Trigglypuffs need to be replaced by patriots
I think that most people, when confronted with the utterly absurd BS that is PC, have the following completely normal reaction: “GMAFB!!!”
Shaun King wants to buy one of those hats: “America was never great. Would he have been better as a slave in this country or a cannibal in the old?
To wrap it up: Don’t try...success sucks. People who don’t think exactly like you are scary and should be banned.
Let them retreat to, and stay in, their safe spaces. They will not be missed. Those that went along to get along with their tyranny of pity-partying will now be free to get an education, wake up, discuss opposing or unknown ideas, and maybe even ask a girl out without fear of thought police swarming.
Eye bleach the thread now please.
Hey, good lookin'
WTF is wrong with these kids this is beyond normal.
Probably going to get in trouble for this.
Okay. Now you can cleanse the image of an ugly pig with the image of a beautiful dog:
.
Well done. But more will be needed for a couple of jokers’ responses on here.
Ahh, Claremont, the city where a church decided to have Jesus depicted by Trayvon. A city which has tied the hands of the water provider so securely that when they priced in the additional costs for all the stupidity, the city decided to take the water system.
A city that had one of the three best engineering colleges in the country, and progressively turned it into a social justice nirvana, even banning a geek party called ‘Mudd goes Madd’ as it was offensive to those who have mental illnesses.
That there’s a couple sane voices left, cautioning their liberal brethren, will be as useful as trying to solve a racial hate crime caught on campus surveillance, perpetrated by the professor who made the complaint about the racial slurs carved into her car.
War Against Fools!
Go Trump!!
While I was (& remain) ambivalent about Trump, the sight of the people in back of Bernie & Hillary (particularly the former) was enough to send me in his direction. God help us all if these people get into office.
Is that a Kangal or an Anatolian?
Still a noble beauty whatever breed.
