Over the past couple weeks, students at colleges across the country have retreated into their safe spaces to protest the hate speech that is Donald Trumps name.
Never to be left out of a big PC trend, the Claremont Colleges have seen plenty of oversensitivity to Trump as well. Students and administrators at both Scripps College and Pitzer College have referred to the phrases #Trump2016 and Make America as harassment, intimidation, and racism, among other things. What these students seem to be missing is that their outrage is exactly what has made Trumps candidacy so successful.
Political correctness has reached a point where it is essentially impossible to have an honest, open conversation about sensitive issues. Trumps rise is nothing more than a direct response to the growing trend of language policing, and nowhere has this pattern of offense-taking victim culture been more evident than right here in Claremont.
At Pomona College, students protested an America-themed party because they felt that it supported imperialism, violence, and racist power structures. A mad scientist-themed party was opposed because the student government felt that the partys nameMudd Goes Maddtrivializes mental health and disability issues.
At Pitzer College, the Student Senate rejected a proposed Yacht Club because they thought that the word yacht was offensive to low-income students. Just weeks later, that same Student Senate did not approve a students request to start a campus branch of the national DreamCatcher Foundationan organization that helps to give happy experiences to terminally ill hospice patientsbecause, even though the Student Senators believed that it seems like a worthy organization in their goals and mission, they were concerned that the word DreamCatcher was a form of cultural appropriation. This despite the fact that the CEO of the national organization is Native American herself.

My niece graduated from Harvey Mudd several years ago and went straight to Raytheon. Still there making very good bucks.

If anyone is interested in excellent commentary about the cancer that SJWs are, subscribe to Sargon of Akaad on YouTube. He is pretty awesome.
If his ancestors hdn’t been sold by a conquering tribe [or by their own tribal leaders] as slaves their fate in Africa would have been to be executed. That’s what happened to unwanted captives before the slave trade, anyway.
Is that an Anatolian Shepherd?.
Shaun king is white
Yes, that is an Anatolian Shepherd.
social justice, where criminals, miscreants and societal outcasts are treated better and protected fully under the law than the law abiding citizenry who pay the bills
Yeah. Trigglypuff !
The problem is that it is reinforced by HR in the workplace, social mobs online and sometimes in person.
I’ve sat through mandatory HR lectures on what white guys reality think, diversity minutes celebrating yeah I left my wife for a man everyone else must celebrate.
As a woman, I asked at what point all these discussions of a man’s adultery and family abandonment was sexual harassment, and I was told that since it was the comfort of LBGT, it could not be sexual harassment, but calling it adultery was judgemental.
And per various federal guidelines that give preference for government contracts to groups that socially engineer the workforce, the firms went further and further all in competition for the money.
Interesting that the Claremont Colleges enroll the same Children of the Corn that have prompted the Trump backlash. Had sane adults stood up to these confused young tyrants in training, there would not have been such a huge void for a brash rebel like Donald Trump to fill. It is a vacuum which is drawing Trump to office.
