In today’s world, marriage is a risky business venture. As someone who practices family law, I can tell you all of the war stories, but the problem lies with the no fault divorce.

Prior to the no fault regime, if you wanted a divorce you had to prove a “cause” such as adultery, insanity, incarceration, physical abuse, etc. Also, there was an action for alienation of affection. That meant that if you screwed around, the jilted spouse could bring a civil action against you for breaking up the family. Additionally, there was the social stigma of divorce. When you combine all of this, you get a strong incentive to maintain the marriage.

In the current world, people simply get tired of each other. They go to court on the grounds of irreconcilable differences, and boom, divorce is granted. Of course, there are arguments about custody and property, but it is pretty cut and dry: the community property will be divided, the kids go to mom, and the dad will pay child support at a predetermined statutory rate. It really is that simple.

I can tell you personally that in my practice, I have noticed that women are much more likely to file for divorce than men. Men might be unhappy or disappointed, but they fight like hell to keep the family together, even after catching the woman in an affair. Women on the other had have ever economic advantage to the divorce. They’ll get maintenance, child support, half of the property, and most likely qualify for every government program under the sun.

But then, once the woman is on their own, they realize that even with the man paying child support and uncle same footing part of the bill, its still not enough to get by. This is when the woman will usually, ape to the lowest common denominator and shack up with the first man that offers her the opportunity. This is where it get dangerous for the kids because the woman is willing to overlook character flaws in the man in the name of economic security (think drunk, physical/verbal abuser, sexual pervert, etc I’ve seen it all).

So, you wonder why men are ticked at women when their ex-wife takes half of their property, 1/3 of their paycheck, the kids, and shacks up with some drunk loser that slaps his kids around? You wonder why the younger generation that grew in that environment or have been exposed to it have a grudge against women and marriage?

Great post. I'm getting quite an education here, though it's very depressing & disheartening 😕 I guess I should consider myself extremely lucky. My wife just left...didn't want ANYTHING...and I own two houses, a new car, etc. No alimony, either. She wanted notjing, most likely out of guilt for effing me over after my 5 years if devotion and dedication to her. All I wanted was some love and affection...to no avail 😞

No fault divorce and abortion on demand were intentionally implemented to destroy the nuclear American family, just like promoting homosexuality and denigrating/prohibiting free religious practice.

Everything they have done since the 1960s was intentionally designed to destroy the nuclear family and the institution of marriage so Uncle Sugar Daddy can hook us all on Government Dependence and socialism.

The commies played us brilliantly and frankly, the end of American strength and culture and economy is not far off now.

Terrifying, sad, and it is to late to do anything about it. Future generations are going to experience serious mental and emotional pain enduring what is coming. I grieve over it.
