Juanita Broaddrick: Network's correspondent 'Lisa Myers actually warned me about Andrea' Mitchell
First, GOP presumptive presidential candidate Donald Trump ripped away the philandering husband façade from Bill Clinton, publicly charging on Fox News Hannity on Wednesday that the former president committed rape.
Then, on the same day, the victim, Juanita Broaddrick, described for the first time in a WND exclusive sit-down interview conducted in Broaddricks Arkansas home exactly how the alleged 1978 sexual assault had deeply and permanently scarred her life throughout the intervening decades. And Broaddrick mentioned something else: Of all mainstream journalists, the one she spoke to recently on the phone, seeking an update from Broaddrick on the rape incident and its aftermath, was NBCs Andrea Mitchell.
How ironic, then, when Thursday, Mitchell said on-air that Broaddricks rape allegation, first televised by her own network in a sensational Dateline segment in 1999, had been discredited.
Lisa Myers actually warned me about Andrea, Broaddrick told WND today, responding to Mitchells comment essentially calling her a liar.
It was Myers, NBC News well-respected and recently retired senior investigative correspondent, who in 1999 was so convinced of Broaddricks authenticity that she interviewed her for the networks primetime story.
Indeed, Mitchells discredited claim clashes directly with Myers, who as recently as 2014 confirmed that Nothing has come up since that story was reported that in any way undercuts what Juanita Broaddrick said.

But do you expect anything honest from ABCNNBCBS .. until Hillary gets crowned by them as dictator?
Mitchell is a liar. And what does she know about it anyway? She’s been over at the state dept. for about 40 years; hardly knowledgeable about investigative reporting. Myers was a gem.
I noticed yesterday at the Egyptian spokesman presser on the downed airline, there was not ONE microphone from the ABC’s. Not one. MTV had one though, along with RAI and the BBC. What a disgrace!
Just like the head of N.O.W. once said, “The only place where Ted Kennedy’s behavior matters is on the floor of the U.S. Senate!”
Lisa Myers did a great interview in 1999 of Juanita.
But NBC held off airing it until a month after the Senate Trial for Clinton.
For obvious reasons.
In 2016, justice must prevail.
Because she wanted to ignore what was on the floor of his Oldsmobile.
God bless this brave lady.
The story doesn't fit their agenda, I guess.
They assume it's a senseless act of Islamic terrorism. They can't figure out how to credibly blame the Republicans or the Israelis for it.
It'll only encourage anti-immigration forces to renew calls for a Muslim ban.
It only highlights the fact that the ME is a continuing threat. ISIS and the forces of Muslim extremism continue undiminished, despite the best efforts of Obama, Kerry and Clinton.
Reporting on it only hurts the cause, so why send anyone?
“Every survivor of sexual assault deserves to be heard, believed, and supported.”
Just not the victims of her husband and child rapists she defends.
No, I disagree. These networks are failing and can no longer afford to send people to countries like Egypt for long periods. Also, America has always had poor international tv coverage unless we are directly engaged in a hot war.
I remember when the interview was spiked. My acquaintance, Nat Hentoff, had buttons made up saying: “Free Lisa Myers!”
Well, if they (ABCNBCCBS) won’t talk about it now, what makes you think they’ll talk about it later - “after Hillary is crowned” ..?????
They’re just circling the wagons as usual.
Your point is that MSM is dying and won't spend the money to send a crew to cover this story.
I contend that if ABC could spin this tragedy into a black eye for Israel or the GOP, they'd have sent someone.
I think we're both right.
Like many female ‘journalists’, Andrea secretly fantasizes about Bill Clinton ‘forcing’ himself upon her. Many liberal women have the same fantasy.
shoulda reached up and twisted her nose off.
