You can’t speak for all Cruz supporters. What a stupid claim to make that you know what all Cruz supporters will do.
I believe many of them will come around to support Trump vs Hillary, or Trump vs Sanders, or Trump vs Biden... whatever the final showdown will be.

Many, many Cruz supporters have already said it wither Cruz or Trump...Now that Cruz is gone, they will go with Trump...
This is NOWHERE close to 2012...This is NOT Romney running, you know...
Maybe you, as a Cruz supporter, will stay home and give Hillary another vote, but I doubt most will....

Conservatives are supposed to be smart and thing of long term implications. Handing the election to Clinton is hardly a good thing in the short or long term.
And a VP can definitely affect a ticket negatively - see Dan Quayle. Especially when that VP candidate has fundamental, core differences with their President (such as Cruz has with Trump on several issues).
