Yeah, and worse than that, we could have upgraded our military big time, if only we spent it on research and engineering.
As for the Iraq army, it caved.

All those people like Cubans ,Russians and Haitians, who never paid in but get SSI anyhow, by the grace of Congress, GET THE ENTITLEMENT!

Naive about what? If they propose a bill that includes taxpayer funds, oppose it. If they propose a bill that permits writedowns so investors and PR pensioners share the losses, with no taxpayer bailout, that's fine. Naivete has nothing to do with it.
This specific proposal -- according to this article YOU POSTED -- does not include taxpayer funds, so why oppose it?
Just because you may not understand how this stuff works doesn't mean the rest of us don't.

There is no bailout for Puerto Rico. No one is suggesting an infusion of cash to help them. Link or it didn’t happen.
What Puerto Rico is asking to do is reorganize their debts in an orderly fashion. Something states can a ready do.
To: kempster
You do know that Puerto Rico, is a United States Territory. And anyone born there after 1920, can be P.O.T.U.S.
Just like U.S. Territories and Outlying Areas: Guam, or U.S. Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Northern Mariana Islands, Midway Islands, Wake Island, Johnston Atoll, Baker, Howland, and Jarvis Islands, Kingman Reef, Navassa Island, Palmyra Atoll.

That's interesting. Do you have any information that Romney would benefit from a Puerto Rico bail out?
Bailouts are a real bad idea. They always seem to help the banks, the pols, the irresponsible lenders, and not the "little folk".
