A Russian safari park has adopted a black goat named "Obama," calling the newest addition to their menagerie a "rare, exotic animal."
"Goat" in Russian is an insult used for obtuse, obstinate and headstrong people.
The Primorsky Safari Park obtained the animal from a farmer in Sochi who had named it after the U.S. president.
Officials first tried to take the creature to one of Vladimir Putin's residences but were informed the Russian president "holds no meetings with goats," ...

Typical of NBC to write a headline saying it is an insult to Obama. ...Next up will be a headline saying that the muppet Ms. Piggy is an insult to Hillary.
Sorry, but like I mentioned to the other guy, my post was meant for those who appreciate a little sarcasm.
The sarcasm went right over my head.
An employee of mine and her husband had a few acres and kept about 8-10 fainting goats in a fenced area close to the house. She said it was like having a bunch of young pups, because of the way they played and would come running when they were called.
The goats kept the grass trimmed and were bred and sold to neighbors each year. ....Y, cabrito es muy bueno!
A pertinent question .... was the goat a nanny or a billy; or just a transgender goat? Inquiring minds ask the question.

Anciently, sheep were often used as a metaphor for the faithful, obediently following the shepherd. Goats were their antithesis and thus represented idolators and unbelievers. The goats head was incorporated into a representation of Baphomet, a French corruption of the name of the prophet Muhammad. Christians believed that Muslims worshiped Muhammad as a god, and thus were idolators and by extension Satan worshippers.
The symbolism and the epithet was formally introduced into Europe during the pogrom against the Templars, who were accused on being Satan worshippers. Consequently, various Satanic images were conflated and the goats head became formalized as a symbol of Satan.
Hmmm...I even changed my tag line to provide a clue.
Also, I assumed my other point would make clear my
opinion about Obama.
It is just me. I find very little humorous where Obama is concerned. And sarcasm is humor, dark humor, but humor. And I am not bad as some I know.
You must find it difficult to negotiate the plethora of
humorous references to Obama here at FR. I don’t envy
you on that point. I am among those who prefer to laugh
at him than to cry about him.
