Wilmette Police "are seeking to check the well-being" of the 49-year-old, they said in a brief press release. Police were called after O'Connor "left the Wilmette area" for a bicycle ride at 0600 local time on Sunday, and had not returned after more than a day. No more information is currently available, police say.
O'Connor became a global star in 1990 with the worldwide hit Nothing Compares 2 U, a song written by Prince. She has recorded 10 solo albums but has also made headlines with controversial outbursts throughout her career. In 1992, she ripped apart a photo of Pope John Paul II during a live television broadcast and has been a strong critic of the Catholic Church over its handling of the child abuse scandal.

That, too,is distinctly possible. She *is* a wackjob. And assuming you know Chicago better than I you've just confirmed my belief that Wilmett is a wealthy suburb...which,IMO,lessens the possibility that she's been the victim of foul play.
Oh grow up. You know nothing about trucks. She'd be hung up in my undercarriage, rapped around the driveshaft ;-)

There’s a Wilmette in Oregon too.
Prince is dead, but she’s still roaming around. Life is not fair.
Wilmette? Wilmette, Illinois?
I seem to remember that town mentioned frequently during some Organized Crime hearings back when Congress investigated organized crime.
But then again, today any congressional investigation into organized crime would be a conflict of interest
That is a photo of someone who hates themself
Mostly million dollar homes with good police who rarely see a violent crime. Kids walk home from school. And Chicago criminals have a hard time getting to Wilmette. If she finds a bad end, it was her own doing.
No, that was Waukegan. Wilmette has never had the Mob. But Charles Percy’s daughter was killed there. And Tony Rezko, the guy who funneled money to Obama lived there before he went to jail. Ann Margret and Rock Hudson came from there. As did Fallout Boy.
Wilmette is a little further from Chicago than where I live in relation to Detroit.
The suburbs surrounding Detroit are prime hunting ground for home invasions and auto thefts committed by the ferals driving out from the city.
I hope she is safe but her case is similar to that of a teenage girl who was found on a popular bike trail north of me several years ago, beaten to death and raped. Her killer was caught and he was a young white kid that lived in her community........
As a poster mentioned above, wooded bike trails for lone women either running or biking or in-line skating are recipes for disaster. They have to be very careful of their surroundings and DEFINITELY SHOULD NOT be wearing those earbuds and listening to music.........
They found her.
If she finds a bad end, it was her own doing......If that skank finds a GOOD end she should consider herself overlooked by karma.
Found her

Oh I could add Bill Murray who grew up there and lived there in the 1990s for several years taking care of his mother.
Rahm and his brother grew up there. Charton Heston grew up there. Rainn Wilson from the office grew up there. Christie Hefner was born there. Billionaire Lester Crown lives there, as well as Cubs owners the Ricketts brothers. Oh remember Sargent Shriver.
There are far more people, Olympic gold medalists, pro sports players all over the place. Lots of professors and businessmen. And I guess Sinead was there as well.
Actually more than 95% were male homos raping little boys. Some priests admitted to molesting more than a 100.
Agree!
That's it? No report of whether she is dead or alive?
