I remember this in 2013. The climanazis were near beside themselves predicting that the Great Lakes were drying up. Now, according to this article, not a word about that 2013 "sky is falling" moment, but rather a new alarm is being sounded detailing the loss of beach (due to higher water levels) and the associated loss of places to play with your Frisbee.

I remember 44 years ago, filling sand bags and placing them on Lake Erie dikes because water levels were too high. Then, a dozen years ago I bought a boat from a marina on Lake Erie that was closing, because water levels were too low. We call that “Climate Change” It’s been around for several billion years.

For my 60+ years here in Michigan, water levels have always fluctuated between high and low. Lake St. Clair is more adversely affected with low levels since it's a shallow lake anyway and all the canals along the shore line that house boats have to be dredged during the low level years in order to accommodate the deep draft boats and sailboats........

The main reason lake Michigan is high this year is due to the record snowfall we had two winters ago along with it completely freezing over. With the ice cover there is no typical water evaporation........

The water levels go up and down on the Great Lakes and no one has a convincing explanation of why it happens. But the climate change crowd can accurately predict the climate 50 to 100 years from now?

Primary drainage outflow for the lakes is the Niagara Falls to the Saint Lawrence Seaway. Nature isn’t moving fast enough? I recall last year the lakes were frozen much more than in the past years.

Someone in the science field should come up with a new concept about things which are in balance. You know: sometimes a system gets a little high, but then it falls back. Sometimes the system gets a little low, but then it rises up. But, over time, the system might maintain a balance. I think this might be a valuable new concept in the field of science. They could call it equilibrium, or something.

The Lake was a little higher last year, is quite obviously higher than that this year.
