While some Americans appear to be confused over the differences between a man and a woman, Megyn Kelly has eliminated any confusion about where she stands on the issue.
Kelly had Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick on Friday’s show to discuss the Obama administration‘s directive informing schools that they “must allow transgender students access to such facilities consistent with their gender identity,” and the Fox News host’s disdain could not have been more obvious.
Kelly was uncharacteristically rude and disrespectful to the Texas Republican, eventually cutting away from him in mid-sentence. In particular, she seemed to take exception to Patrick’s charge the directive would “allow men in ladies rooms.”
“Allow men in the ladies’ rooms or allow trans women in the ladies’ rooms?” she asked.
Never mind that “trans women” ARE men from a biological standpoint.
Patrick tried to explain that the directive creates “a great loophole for all the sexual predators and sex offenders,” but Kelly opted to take on the unenviable task of defending sex offenders.
“A lot of sex offenders are men who molest men, who molest boys,” she countered. “Why is there an assumption that they need to sneak in the girls room?”
Her guest tried to emphasize the concern over a young girl being in the same facility as a “30-year-old man,” but Kelly stood firm.
“But what if that man looks like a woman? And she would never know,” Kelly interjected.
“Megyn, you’re missing this,” Patrick replied.
“I don’t think I’m missing anything,” she said condescendingly.
Patrick spoke out earlier in the day against the White House directive critics say contains an implicit threat that schools could face lawsuits or the loss of federal funds if they do not abide.
“Well, in Texas, [President Barack Obama] can keep his 30 pieces of silver,” he told reporters. “We will not yield to blackmail from the president of the United States.”
He went on to say Texas will not comply and that this was “the biggest issue facing families and schools in America since prayer was taken out of public schools.”
I am a man, and if I put on a police officers uniform, then I am a fake cop. If I put on scrubs, and walked into a hospital, I would be a fake doctor. If I waked into a court room, and acted like a lawyer, then I would be a fake lawyer. Our society would not tolerate any of this type of disingenuous behavior.
Yet, if I put on a dress, and identify as a woman, am I not a fake woman? What is it about liberalism that allows someone to deny reality?
You certainly have a point there. As the lieutenant governor said, a little girl shouldn't have to share the ladies room with at 30 year old male pervert in a dress (if that is what "he" is). But, as Megyn points out, it may not be better to force a little boy to share a men's room with that "guy." I think she has a point - there just aren't any good answers to this mess.

Transgenders FREQUENTLY remain attracted to the (original) opposite sex. It is common for a supposed now woman, to say of course I’m still attracted to women, I’ve always been attracted to women. Bruce Jenner is just the latest to still want women, I’ve read and seen this on tv for years.
The assumption that transgender “women” are attracted to men is absolutely wrong. That “woman”in a shower or bathroom with your daughter is very likely to want to have sex with your daughter.
The politically correct ignorance on this is astounding.

IMHO, the propaganda is equating the tranny issue with predation, when in fact criminal predators - their sexual options don’t matter - are taking advantage of this edict addressing 0.002% of the US population.
The shiny object for the media is getting huffy about the perception that people are saying the trannies are the only threat. That’s just not true. This is the open border for criminal predators who are using this edict to threaten women and girl in a place where they should have some measure of safety.
