The two most important criteria are always the same:
1. Pick someone who's would ready to be president, if necessary, and
2. DO NO HARM
He's said he'd like someone with political and legislative experience to help him deal with congress, and he's also said he'd consider some of his former rivals...
1. Former opponents
Both Rick Perry and Bobby Jindal have endorsed Trump. Both are former governors. But Trump will probably win Texas and Louisiana without them...
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie was one of Trump's earliest establishment endorsers.. If being an attack dog is a top requirement for a VP candidate then Christie's evisceration of Marco Rubio is a qualification/ recommendation. Then again, Trump usually takes care of those duties himself.
John Kasich, Ted Cruz and Rubio all fit Trump's criteria, though Rubio has ruled it out, and it's hard to see Kasich or Cruz on the ticket after their previous brutal fights with Trump...
2. Members of Congress current and former
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich knows something about running against the establishment. He's made it clear he'd be happy to be on the ticket...

You are in for a rude awakening, Cruz plays the role of claiming to be a conservative. But his actual deeds shows that he is a self absorbed, self entitled twit. He could have been a 'real' hero, but instead he deceived himself he was entitled to the brass ring, and has made an ass of himself. Face it there is NO national ground swell for another Harvard Law School grad, Cuban Canadian, junior senator. Cruz is NOT going to reenact Obama.
I get it, you don’t like him. When he starts demonstrating in votes and deeds to be a leftist/statist like virtually the rest of the Senate GOP caucus, I will reevaluate my support of him. Until such time, I support him.
I do not trust him. He is a Harvard Law School grad. Just like Romney and Obama.
Apparently he didn’t get the memo, because he doesn’t vote like Willard and Zero.
Cruz is many things, mostly he is a delusional man who believes that he is The Annointed One. He supports TPP. He supports sham nests. He doesn’t give a crap about the voters. His record and his words prove it
No not as VP
Now just stop
Unless you are one of those paid political operatives who just gets there jollies this way. Then you can just go away
I’ve been here 18 years, n00b. Nobody pays me.
Well, Cruz will have to show up to work to vote. He has been on paid vacation for months now. I do not think he has many ‘present’ votes either.
What nerve, daring to campaign for President !
Your math is bad
I first came here the weekend before the 1998 midterms: Saturday, October 31, 1998.
Since your profile page says 2001 there’s no way to tell
I didn’t register this account until 2001.
