Well, it is game on. This will be an election unlike any other in the modern era. Two wildly flawed candidates for president will try to convince voters that the other is the one more unfit for the office. Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump both have their baggage, but along with his problems, Trump does have a couple of things going for him.
Trumps first big problem is obvious: Hes wildly unpopular. Specifically, hes unpopular with two critical voter groups, women and Hispanics. He needs to earn support from these groups, but all the evidence suggests it will be very difficult for him to do so.

For someone so unpopular he sure packs in the crowds at stadium sized rallies and in MD even had people lined up for miles to see his motorcade pass by
He is, above all things, relentless.
What percent of democrat votes does hillary have? Look at the popular vote for Bernie - and these voters do NOT like HRC
Polls suggest 20-40% will vote for Trump
That will make up for the nevertrumps
Now she's stuck with...Muslim immigrants, trade, climate change
How many times can she use the "girl" card....and the "Black card"....cuz that's all she's got.
Wait till Trump starts on Benghazi....and Khaddafi...
That would be the time for Hillary to duck.
I'm not so sure about that....
White liberal women maybe...
They are stuck between holding their nose and voting Clinton or sitting at home...
Moderate or apolitical women I think will come around simply because of Trumps message of jobs, the economy, security...
Kitchen table issues...plus I think most women even libarts, think the "War on Women" is bogus and not real...
Hillary isn't giving them a lot of positive issues to vote on except she has a vagina...
Hispanics are a huge diverse group of people, mostly conservative on social issues, they also need jobs do not want illegals taking american jobs..
Hillary also isn't giving the hard working legal or american born hispanics a lot of reasons to vote for her either...
Media and Dem plan for now: “misogynistic, racist, homophobe”: repeat ad infinitum.
Let's not go overboard here...
Trump never got a majority of voters until New York which is not surprising...He is a New Yorker!
He trended at between 35% to 45 % of the vote before, which is still impressive in the large field of candidates...but that means 65% to 55% of people didn't like him enough to vote for him..
Trump popularity is driven by the news media, which he masterfully manipulates...
For a guy with such high negatives, it's a hard case to make he is the most popular in America...yet...
Wildly unpopular yet winning winning winning!
Dumbasses...
Bingo !!!
Nor the GOPe for that matter!
If anything, democrats have been pulling the same plays from their worn out playbook for decades...
Somehow, it still worked until Trump...
I imagine Hillary team is simply pulling their hair out trying to find that two or three issues to drive into Trumps heart......
It will be interesting to see what underhanded dirty tricks they come up with...
I'm sure their will be no bottom to their means..
Too right.
And would Hispanics be a ‘critical voter group’ had they not illegally flooded over the border for decades, ignored by politicians from both parties?
On the contrary I would submit that Donald Trump is wildly popular.
I feel a lot better about voting for Trump than I did about voting for Mittens, McLame, and W.
Typical Wash post crap.
The media always leaves out the pesky little details. Trump is unpopular with ILLEGAL Hispanics.
According to that NYT hit piece, he LIKES IT when he offends people. Kinda like that part.
Much of the media will do Trumps work for him by simply repeating what he says.>>> from the article, the media rarely actually repeats what he or anyone actually says. if they did life would be boring. they take the words and paste up some kind of nonsense based on one of there themes. like changed his mind on minimum wage (he didn’t) muslim immigration (he didn’t) etc.
Surprisingly honest story from WaPo.
Those who say that Donald Trump “is not a Republican” are correct. Republicans are professional losers. Trump knows how to win.
Yeah, Trump’s the worst Republican candidate, except for those sixteen others.
