That’s never good.
I had it happen once.
I had an MG Midget and was racing a guy (and getting soundly beat!) when I lost control in a corner and hit the curb so hard the steering wheel came off in my hands. I wound up in someone’s front lawn.
I jammed the wheel back onto the shaft and limped the car home.
This sounds similar to voting in 2010 & 2014 to change the direction of the Government...
I heard they have a backup rope system for steering.
Sound a lot like voting for Republicans.
Never is a very strong condition:
The new chevy trucks are steer by wire and when that doesn’t work right you can kiss your a$$ goodbye! Friend of a friends Denali did it to many times, and had it towed to the dealer. Service manager drove it for a while and had it happen to him! Chevy bought it back.
