Don’cha just LOVE it
Steel is better than love as a steering column material
So that’s the problem....why Subaru drivers can’t get out of the passing lane, while they travel at 45MPH.
But... The commercial made me cry!
Oh, that's what that's for! I use mine to rest my latte while I'm texting somebody. But yeah, now that you mention it, there does seem to be some sort of relationship between turning that thing and the direction I'm going. Who knew?
BTW, love my WRX.
Bought our first Subaru 2016 (Forester). I did a lot of research and I found it to be just what we wanted at a price that fit.
We LOVE it.
When my wife asks me to hold or carry her purse, I never mind. I always say “I’m man enough to carry a purse.”
I’m also man enough to drive a Subaru.
turning the steering wheel may have no effect on the direction of the wheels, increasing the risk of a crash.”

No s*** Sherlock?
And who bought so many Lesbarus?
Hats off to Subaru for doing this. They’re towing the cars to dealers free of charge. Any Subaru dealer will suffice.
I think of how many people end up dying before any of the Big Three acquiesce to a recall. I wonder how many accidents (if any) precipitated this?
Suburu trying to take out the gay and lesbo communities.

Ironic given the target market.
Amazing considering how little force it actually takes to turn the steering shaft with power steering.
I can turn the big tires on my truck with it running merely by reaching under the fender and turning the u-joint which is about 2” diameter with my hand.
The hardest part is not losing hide on the inner fender.
I don’t care what all you haters say. I am a hetero Conservative male and I LOVE my 2012 Suby Outback! It’s by far the best car I’ve ever owned It’s especially great in bad weather. It’s a shame that this one problem will probably destroy future Suby sales for a long time to come. :(
Our main car is a ‘14 Subaru Outback. Good power, steady in bad weather. Carries a ton.
Plenty of room under the seat for a cabled lock box to secure my Glock.
