Just two weeks ago, though, Ms. Maples was not even taking The Donalds calls. Not after a PEOPLE reporter played her a tape on June 26 of a man saying that he was a Trump publicist named John Miller. A shocked, devastated Marla identified the voice as that of Trump himself. He announced, among other things, that hed traded in his Georgia peach for an Italian model (Carla Bruni). When I heard his voice on that tape saying those things, I said, Whoa! Uh-uh. No more, says Marla. If he could say all that stuff and act like its cool to have this playboy image, then oh my gosh, all I could say was, Baby, youre on your own.
..Meanwhile a penitent Don Juan-ald had come to the opposite conclusion. The John Miller fiasco he called a joke gone awry. What I did became a good time at Mar-las expense, and Im very sorry, says the newly humbled tycoon. As for his wandering eye, Id felt that I needed space and freedom after the divorce, so I took the opportunity to go out with other women, but I kept coming back to Marla. I realized, why go looking for something when you already have exactly what you want?
Trump also basically admitted using the other name:
The Post also cited 1990 court case testimony in which Trump testified, "I believe on occasion I used that name" when asked about Barron. CNN has obtained a copy of Trump's testimony during that case.

Here's the deal, like I said, I don't care if he used a fake name and posed as his spokesman. It's pretty pathetic this is what the media can get on him. I just would rather he not lie and just say that it was 25 years ago, was him just having some fun, and end it at that. The libs and bitter Never Trumpers would mock him, but most people wouldn't care. Now, however, he's being accused of lying about it, and you have guys like Smerconish asking to interview Miller and Barron. The media will look for these two people, and if they don't find them (it would be awesome if they did), then they will make a big deal about him lying, whereas otherwise it would have been insignificant.
