Looked it up from article. In reality this is probably a career killer and something employers look up online. When I read stories like this I don't think my job is high stress at all.
Firing means relieved from Command for cause. Not dismissed from the Navy. However, he may as well get out because there will be no promotions on the horizon for this individual.
Means his next OER will be done with a crayola ....... he’s toast. Someone gets the blame. He may be a gun decking shitbird or a great CO who was “purged” ...... we will never know .......

I take it to mean he has been relieved of duty as the “commander” of that particular group. Most definitely it will be the end of his career, he might as well resign.
