I never needed a “safe space” before this. My feelings are hurt when I am attacked directly sometimes, but this is different. The vitriol has been demoralizing and has prompted me to block scores of people on Facebook.
I know this is not the reason that Jim is going all-in for Trump, to soothe the feelings of pro-Trump freepers. Still, I am so grateful that he has done so. My mind has been made up on this election for a long time and I don’t need to read insult after insult about my conservatism, my religion, the state that I live in, and everything else. My day is too short for that.
