On the right, weve grown to pride ourselves on our greater openness to debate and ideas, on having no need to toe a Politically Correct line or crawl into a safe space like pampered college kids who just cant handle hearing from anyone who disagrees with them.
For myself, I am so personally dedicated to this ideal that I even perform the great personal sacrifice of reading the comments field beneath my articles.
Yet somehow I wasnt surprised to see Donald Trump supporters, those swaggering tough guys, turn one of their favorite Internet forums into a safe space where they no longer need to encounter criticism or opposition. Earlier today, Free Republic proprietor Jim Robinson announced that the discussion board would no longer tolerate opposition to Trumps candidacy.

I guess its been ixnay on the ussypay since the Taiwan mail order bride decamped but no reason to get nasty. Classy!
Actually I just troll the theater district for whatever sluts may fall out of the alley door.
Because they're like that.
Uppity and snotty during the day, a batch of drunken hoes at night.
But you knew that.

If you want to play whack-a-mole with me, prepare to be whacked, pigface. I don’t run and hide from trolls.

Thanks for the link.
Now, you and Albion Wilde can click back through the last 16 years - one page at a time - and check if fundraisers in previous presidential election years finished up in two weeks, as I claimed.
NOT during Romney's run in 2012! Those FReepathon's went on for OVER a month! MAYBE 6 weeks or longer.

Thanks onyx.
Concern Trolls are a pain.
Their job is to distract from the issues.

I don't have OCD. You are the one apparently desperately concerned with being right about it; so like I said, do it yourself.
Better yet, since you're not happy with the speed of the freepathon, just make a donation and ping your friends to make a donation, and then you will have done something constructive about your concern.

"Better yet, since you're not happy with the speed of the freepathon, just make a donation and ping your friends to make a donation, and then you will have done something constructive about your concern." What concerns me is that you are missing the point.
His concern is obviously not to address the problem, but to have you reach a level of concern for the problem that surpasses his own concern.
Until you have dutifully concerned yourself in this manner, it will be a cause of great concern for us all.
Well, maybe not all, but a lot.
OK. Maybe not a lot, but at least a concerned few.
(I'm not one of them. I'm just concerned that you fully understand.)
OK - so maybe nobody.

Oh you philosophers are a strange lot.
YOUR concern concerns me, concernably.
Apparently we are dealing with an attention whore who needs validation. Good point

I have been here since January 1998. I discovered FR the day the Lewinsky scandal broke on Drudge. I found FR because I was researching details on how Bill Clinton declared a huge part of Utah a “national monument,” whatever the hell that means.
FR inspired me to get involved in politics as a conservative activist. That is how I got to know the GOPe on the inside. That is why I have supported Trump for months. Thank you, Jim Robinson, for making this possible.

I would argue they just got bored with the claptrap now present and just quit coming. I see many of the old folks, male and female, pop up once and a while. I’ve checked on others and they still have active accounts but their last posts are spotty.
For many, those with rational minds, the forum is just not worth the effort.

Aliens already tried nuclear disarmament in 1987 in Superman IV: The Quest for Peace. The problem, as we saw, occurs when a mad scientist uses the destruction of the nukes as a vehicle to create a nuclear-powered super-villain who then proceeds to wreak havoc on the Statue of Liberty, Great Wall of China and other key landmarks.

What does it mean to be “zotted”?
To: Daveinyork
I believe it means having your posting privileges revoked on this site.
I guess you lose your ability to log in and all that goes with that.
Of course, you can still lurk.
You been around as long as me. Is that your understanding also?
